Notes:
- Abaqus Interactive and Analysis products use 64-bit addressing, unless
noted otherwise.
- Abaqus/Standard uses double floating point precision; Abaqus/Explicit
offers both single and double floating point precision. Abaqus/CAE and
Abaqus/Viewer use single floating point precision.
- MPI based parallel execution of Abaqus/Standard and Abaqus/Explicit is available on all supported platforms except Windows/x86-32, which supports thread based shared memory parallel execution.

- 3Dconnexion SpaceBall motion controllers are supported and can be used for view manipulation in Abaqus/CAE and Abaqus/Viewer.
- Includes Abaqus/Foundation as well as Abaqus/Aqua and Abaqus/Design.
- Includes Intel Pentium and Xeon, and AMD Athlon processors and uses 32-bit memory addressing.
- Includes AMD Opteron and Intel EM64T processors.
- GLX/OpenGL required
- Abaqus 6.9-EF will only be available on a limited distribution basis on Linux/x86-32 and HP-UX/Itanium platforms, signaling that support for this platform is expected to be discontinued in a subsequent release. These platforms will not be available on the Abaqus distribution media, but will be downloadable on request through your local SIMULIA support office. See Answer 3817 for more details on limited distribution status.
- Iterative Solver is not supported on this platform
- The Abaqus License Server is also supported on the Solaris/UltraSPARC platform. You can downloaded the License Server for this platform from SOSS. See SOSS Answer Answer 2099 for information about upgrading the Abaqus FLEXnet License Manager.
- Abaqus License server availability on the Linux/x86-32 platforms is expected to be discontinued for releases following Abaqus 6.9-EF.
