Abaqus Version 6.5 Test Configurations
The following table lists the
system configurations that have been or will be tested and supported with Abaqus Version 6.5.
The "Version Tested" column in the table indicates either the version of Abaqus with which a particular configuration
has been succesfully tested or the targeted version by which testing is expected to be completed.
While all attempts are made to successfully qualify a configuration by the targeted releases,
unforeseen circumstances may force testing completion to a later release or in extreme cases may lead to
certain configurations from being dropped. Please contact the appropriate hardware vendor(s) for system configurations not listed in this table as in many circumstances there may be other configurations that are compatible with the configurations listed here.
The various configurations on each supported platform may undergo different levels of QA testing.
Some configurations undergo full QA testing or Tier 1 testing, while other configurations undergo a subset of the QA testing, which is designated as Tier 2 testing. For configurations that have undergone Tier 2 testing, the variations with respect to configurations that have undergone Tier 1 testing are highlighted in red.Such variations include items such as
OS level, compilers, or processor type. These additional
configurations do not require new CDs to support them; they are tested
using the appropriate Tier 1 configuration CD. For example, Red Hat Linux
9.0 is tested using the SuSe Linux 8.2 CD for the Linux/x86-32 release. All configurations are fully supported, irrespective of whether a configuration
has undergone Tier 1 or Tier 2 testing.
Platforms released after V6.5-1 are
not included in the initial CD set for the general release, but are
supported in a subsequent maintenance release of Version 6.5.
