Introduction to Abaqus for CATIA V5

Objective:

Abaqus for CATIA V5 integrates Abaqus finite element analysis technology within the CATIA V5 user environment. This course teaches users how to use Abaqus for CATIA V5 to prepare a CATIA V5 analysis document in order to perform an Abaqus/Standard structural, thermal, or sequentially coupled thermal-structural analysis. The course also teaches users how to view results in Abaqus for CATIA V5.

The topics include:

  • Integration of AFC with CATIA V5
  • Analysis Cases and Analysis Steps
  • Loads, Boundary Conditions, and Fields
  • Model, Assembly, and Part Properties
  • Geometric Nonlinearity
  • Contact
  • Static and Thermal Analysis
  • Results Evaluation

Who should attend:

This course is recommended for engineers with experience using Abaqus and CATIA V5, especially the Generative Structural Analysis workbench.
