SIMULIA Multiphysics Platform
SIMULIA is providing an open platform to support multiphysics applications and solutions. Today, we provide direct coupling and support independent code-coupling technology to allow 3rd party software applications to work with Abaqus for coupled simulation and in supporting open standards like MpCCI from Fraunhofer SCAI.
Multiphysics is a challenging and rapidly evolving area of simulation and our customers realize that while certain combinations of best-in-class simulation software are often best suited for particular types of simulation, it is clear that "one size" does not fit all requirements. The SIMULIA approach is to provide an open flexible platform so that the right software can be coupled together for the specific simulation problem being studied. This open approach allows our customers to choose the most effective way to implement a best-in-class approach to multiphysics simulation in real-world applications across various industries.

"We appreciate the SIMULIA effort in developing a comprehensive multiphysics platform as it fits perfectly to AVL´s strategy. We are excited to begin testing the direct code coupling interface, as we see the potential to more effectively and efficiently couple AVL FIRE with Abaqus for multiple powertrain applications".
- Dr. Gotthard Rainer, Vice President of Advanced Simulation Technologies at AVL. |

SIMULIA Direct Coupling
The SIMULIA Direct Coupling Interface is a key component of the SIMULIA multiphysics platform allowing us to couple SIMULIA simulation products with each other, with partner products, or with customer-developed software codes.

Independent Code-Coupling
The SIMULIA multiphysics platform is an open one, and our support for MpCCI from Fraunhofer Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing (SCAI) is a good example of this openness.
