Independent Code-Coupling

The SIMULIA multiphysics platform is open to allow customers the most flexibility in utilizing the best solution for their problem, and our support for MpCCI from Fraunhofer Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing (SCAI) is a good example. We have many customers around the world who use MpCCI to couple Abaqus to their CFD code of choice in order to successfully perform multiphysics simulations, making a difference to product design and giving greater insight to scientific research.

We are committed to continued support for MpCCI in order to provide our customers with the widest possible choice in their approach to implementing multiphysics solutions. The advantages of this independent link to Abaqus through MpCCI are many. Both Abaqus/Standard and Abaqus/Explicit support linking through MpCCI, and the number of third-party simulation programs and in-house codes with MpCCI adapters is growing. We actively support and qualify links between Abaqus and STAR-CD and between Abaqus and FLUENT for fluid-structure interaction.
