Abaqus/Standard
Abaqus/Standard enables a wide range of linear and nonlinear engineering simulations to be carried out efficiently, accurately, and reliably. The extensive analysis capabilities, superb performance, thorough documentation, high quality, and best-in-class support make Abaqus/Standard an effective tool for many engineering analyses. Abaqus/Standard is supported within the Abaqus/CAE modeling environment for all common pre- and postprocessing needs. In addition, Abaqus/Standard can be accessed from within many common modeling environments that may be appropriate to your needs.
The results at any point within an Abaqus/Standard run can be used as the starting conditions for continuation in Abaqus/Explicit. Similarly, an analysis that starts in Abaqus/Explicit can be continued in Abaqus/Standard. The flexibility provided by this integration allows Abaqus/Standard to be applied to those portions of the analysis that are well-suited to an implicit solution technique, such as static, low-speed dynamic, or steady-state transport analyses; while Abaqus/Explicit may be applied to those portions of the analysis where high-speed, nonlinear, transient response dominates the solution.

Abaqus/AMS High Performance Eigensolver
This optional add-on analysis capability for Abaqus/Standard allows the user to select the automatic multi-level substructuring (AMS) eigensolver when performing a natural frequency extraction. The Abaqus/AMS eigensolver offers significant performance advantages over the default Lanczos method, particularly when a large number of eigenmodes is required for a system with many degrees of freedom. Benchmark tests indicate that natural frequency extraction problems can be solved anywhere between 10 times and 25 times faster with the new AMS eigensolver, depending on the complexity of the model.
Abaqus/Aqua Fluid, Wave Loads for the Offshore Industry
Abaqus/Aqua is an add-on product for use in offshore engineering applications. It includes features for jacket and riser analysis, J-tube pull simulations, bottom bending calculations, and floating structure studies. Structures can be subjected to drag, buoyancy, and fluid inertia loading because of steady current and wave effects. Wind loading is available for structures that rise above the free surface of the water.
Abaqus/Design Parametric Design Studies
Abaqus/Design is an add-on product that complements Abaqus/Standard for use in design sensitivity analysis (DSA). Design sensitivities are useful for understanding the behavior of a design and for predicting the effect of design changes. The design sensitivities can be used to provide the foundation for "instant re-analysis" or "what-if " design studies and for gradient-based, optimal design.
Abaqus/Foundation Linear Perturbation Subset of Abaqus/Standard
Abaqus/Foundation provides access to the static and dynamic analysis linear perturbation functionality of Abaqus/Standard. When Abaqus/Foundation is available, the solution process automatically detects problems that can be solved using linear perturbation procedures and uses Abaqus/Foundation instead of Abaqus/Standard to manage your license token pool efficiently.
