Abaqus/Viewer (Postprocessing) 
Abaqus/Viewer is a subset of Abaqus/CAE which contains only the postprocessing capabilities of the visualization module. It uses the output database (.odb) to obtain results from the analysis products. The output database is a neutral binary file enabling results from an Abaqus analysis run on any platform to be viewed on any other platform supporting Abaqus/Viewer.
Visualization techniques include contour and deformed shape plots and animation; cutting planes are supported to display results on any section through the model. Abaqus/Viewer provides output of 3D XML, realistic animations, and presentation- quality x-y plotting.
