NEW CLASS:
Abaqus/Explicit – Selected Topics Tailored for FEA of Medical Devices
DATE: May 29-30
LOCATION: Fremont, CA
COST: $1450 per student plus $150 for training materials.
The complexities associated with human anatomy along with varying physiological and clinical conditions of patients pose considerable challenges to the design and evaluation of medical devices. SIMULIA offers realistic simulation tools to help designers, engineers, and innovators in the medical device industry evaluate highly complex device behavior. The Abaqus Unified FEA product suite contains a wide variety of material models, analysis procedures, load types and boundary conditions, and contact modeling capabilities that can be used to perform component and device level simulations, evaluate device response to in-vivo loading conditions, and model device/tissue interactions.
SIMULIA West is introducing a two-day, specialized training course for FEA of medical devices. This course will focus on the use of Abaqus/Explicit for the design and analysis of stents.
Learn how to:
- Perform quasi-static analyses with Abaqus/Explicit.
- Model contact interaction between medical devices, vessels and tools.
- Obtain economical quasi-static solutions by means of increased load rates and mass scaling.
- Perform import analyses to/from Abaqus/Standard for including preload, spring back and recoil.
If you are responsible for the design of medical devices within your organization, and looking to accelerate your understanding of the highly complex mechanical behavior associated with performance of medical devices, you cannot afford to miss this learning opportunity.
