Advanced Simulation Techniques for the Medical Electronics and Device Industries

Learn how SIMULIA can help you to deploy realistic simulation methods and technology that help drive innovation and ensure device reliability—so everyone can breathe a little easier.

Date:

Tuesday, April 22

LIMITED
SEATING

Location:

Courtyard Marriott
Waltham, Massachusetts

Time:

8:00 AM to Noon
Includes a Continental Breakfast

Attend this seminar to learn how Abaqus Unified FEA and Multiphysics solutions from SIMULIA can help you evaluate realistic medical device behavior and accelerate your development workflows.

The predictive analysis of Abaqus Unified FEA solutions from SIMULIA will help you reach your development goals at all stages of a product’s lifecycle. Discover how you can evolve your analysis methods to simulate new materials and get closer to real-world behavior.

  • Leverage Abaqus Unified FEA for thermal, thermal-electrical, moisture sensitivity, vibration characteristics, acoustics, and mechanical response including shock and drop loading
  • Apply state-of-the-art material modeling for all electronics materials including lead-free solder with elastic, plastic, creep, and accumulated damage response
  • Utilize advanced multiphysics solutions for applications including drug delivery, fluid flow management, product dispensing, processing, handling/shipping, etc.
  • Capture knowledge and deploy proven analysis workflows throughout the product lifecycle
  • Use SIMULIA SLM (Simulation Lifecycle Management) to manage all simulation data, improve traceability, share data with distributed teams, secure intellectual property by controlling access privileges

Speakers:

David Cadge – Senior Solutions Engineer, Electronics, SIMULIA

David has worked with SIMULIA since 1995 in various capacities within our customer service and marketing teams. David is responsible for developing and promoting our strategy for simulation within the High Tech industry. He has traveled extensively, visiting our High Tech customers around the world to understand their workflows and requirements while promoting our current capabilities and best practices for this industry. Information gathered during these visits will help us provide enhancements for advanced technology, usability, and productivity so that simulation can become an integral part of electronics design practices.

Subham Sett – Senior Solutions Engineer, Life Sciences, SIMULIA

Since joining SIMULIA in 2003, Subham has been involved in various capacities within our customer services and marketing teams. He has extensive experience in the area of multiphysics simulations, including fluid structure interaction and MEMS, and is responsible for developing and promoting our simulation strategy for the Medical Device industry. Prior to joining SIMULIA, he was involved in the design of MEMS switches at Coventor Inc.. He holds several patents in the area. Subham holds an M.S. from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a B.S. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

Who Should Attend:

SIMULIA invites medical device designers, inventors, product development managers, and academics who wish to incorporate state-of-the-art simulation methods into their product design to improve design decisions and rely less on prototyping and physical tests.
