Advanced Simulation with SolidWorks Associative Interface for Abaqus
The SolidWorks Associative Interface for Abaqus enables users of SolidWorks to perform advanced structural and multiphysics analysis with Abaqus FEA from SIMULIA, the Dassault Systèmes brand for realistic simulation.
By using Abaqus FEA software you are able to solve challenging design and engineering problems which include:
- High speed events with large deformation such as impact/crash, Intermittent contact between parts, or fracture and failure
- Complex materials including rubber, thermo-plastics, powder metals, human tissue, soil, composites
- Multiphysics such as fluid-structure interaction, structural-acoustics, thermal-mechanical, and more.
- Complex assemblies that include flexible multibody dynamics, controls, and complex joint behavior such as stops or failure. Other such applications include bolted assemblies and gaskets or welded components including residual stress effects
- Large simulation models which may require use of compute clusters (distributed memory parallel processing)
Using the SolidWorks Associative Interface for Abaqus enables you to easily transfer parts or assemblies from SolidWorks to Abaqus/CAE; you can subsequently modify the model in SolidWorks and propagate these modifications to Abaqus/CAE without losing any analysis features assigned to the model in Abaqus/CAE.
