Tim Harrigan, Ph.D., Senior Engineer, Foster-Miller Inc.

Dr. Harrigan is a Senior Engineer at Foster-Miller, Inc., Waltham, MA, specializing in biomechanics within the Structures and Transportation Group.  Prior to Joining Foster-Miller, Dr. Harrigan worked in the biomechanics practice at Exponent Failure Analysis associates, and before that he was director of the Orthopedic Biomechanics Lab at the University of Texas at Houston Medical School, and a visiting Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering at Rice University. Dr. Harrigan received BS (1980) and ScD (1985) degrees from MIT in mechanical engineering and an MBA (1998) from the University if Houston. Dr. Harrigan has published research in bone remodeling simulation, Elastography, total hip replacements, and vascular regulation.  Currently active R&D projects involve traumatic brain injury, railroad crash simulation, blast mitigation, and medical device analyses.

Subham Sett, Life Sciences Industry Lead, SIMULIA Technical Marketing

Subham is focused on developing simulation road maps for the biomedical industry, as well as, SIMULIA’s multiphysics and fluid-structure interaction solutions. He began his career at SIMULIA as an engineering specialist. Prior to joining SIMULIA in 2003, he was involved in the design of MEMS switches at Coventor Inc. and holds several patents in the area. Subham holds an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a BTECH from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
