EnSight Gold
EnSight Gold is a high performance post-processing and visualization tool for Abaqus results data, and provides the following advanced features over and above the capabilities of EnSight Standard (described later below):
Parallel Processing and Rendering
- Maximizes the power of parallel-processing computers with Posix Threads Technology
- Utilizes Server-of-Server (SOS) functionality for parallel processing on clustered computers such as Beowulf Linux clusters
- Leverages the accelerated graphics performance of "multi-pipe" capable computers from SGI, Sun, and HP.
Virtual Reality Support
- Supports a complete range of VR displays, from multi-pipe graphics to benches and walls to fully immersive CAVE environments.
- Incorporates a "Heads Up" Macro (HUM) for creating customized VR interfaces.
- Utilizes user-defined 6 DOF input device support.
Collaboration
- Permits multiple users in remote locations to simultaneously view and control sessions, while utilizing very lightweight communication protocols for efficient use of the network bandwidth.
- Interfaces with EnLiten Gold to share visualizations on VR devices.
EnSight
EnSight is a complete tool for Abaqus data analysis, plotting, visualization, and communication. EnSight's flexible GUI enables users to learn the program quickly and to move easily into layers of increased functionality. EnSight's integrated plotter allows users to interrogate the results at a point, or along a line, both in space and through time, and plot the results.
Users are also able to compare up to 16 Abaqus results cases simultaneously and find differences in values, showing the effect of the model changes in stark contrast. Exporting to text files is also supported so that users are able to apply results as input to another simulation.
EnSight is an ideal tool for postprocessing coupled fluid structure analysis results as it can load and display structural and CFD results within the same viewpoint.

EnLiten: A free, standalone 3D player for effective presentations and distribution of Abaqus results. Runs on Linux, Unix, Windows, and Mac OS X.
EnVideo: A free movie player that utilizes compact evo files created by EnSight to enable cross-platform viewing of videos of high-end visualization over the Internet or intranet. Runs on Linux, Unix, Windows, and Mac OS X.
EnVe: The EnVideo editor, a tool for "pasting" together multiple animation segments into a complete movie. Runs on Linux, Unix, Windows, and Mac OS X.
