New Features available in Abaqus 6.7EF release:

Abaqus 6.7EF is a mid-cycle Extended Functionality release which includes major enhancements to V6.7-1.  Three major advancements are Couple Eulerian-Lagrangian analysis, Abaqus/CAE FSI Interface, and Solid Works Associativity.

  • Coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian Capability (FSI)
Abaqus Explicit now has the capability to do fluid structural interaction applications.  This feature utilizes 10 analysis tokens and is included in the Abaqus 6.7EF release.

  • Parallel Processing (SMP)
With Abaqus Research Edition you already have the capability to do parallel processing (SMP) as long as you have licensed 6 or more analysis tokens.  If you’re already running Abaqus on a machine with a duo core processor, Abaqus/Standard or Abaqus/Explicit can be run in parallel using 6 analysis tokens.  If you currently license 5 tokens, the cost to add another token is $100 or less and your speed could increase up to 50%!

  • Clusters (DMP)
“Do you have a need for Speed?”  Why not execute Abaqus on a Cluster system?  Execute an Abaqus run on 32, 64, and even 128 cpu clusters!  All you need is a sufficient quantity of Analysis tokens.  Supported systems:  >> Learn More

  • Design Study  Interface (DSI) Plug In
DSI is an “easy to use” plug-in for Abaqus/CAE that steps through the process of implementing a simulation application for novice FEA users.  DSI is perfect for introducing students to FEA.  Watch our Tutorial webpage for access to this downloadable tool soon.  If you are a professor that would like access to the beta version, please contact us.
