Simulate the Porosity and Stress Evolution of Powder/Porous Materials

A VUMAT subroutine was developed to implement the Drucker Prager Cap model into Abaqus/Explicit. With this subroutine, we are able to simulate the porosity and stress evolution of powder/porous materials under different loading conditions. The tablet diametrical compression test was simulated using a 3D model and the results show that the internal density distribution has a large effect on the fracture behavior of tablet during the test.
