The aim is to evaluate the behavior of structural masonry strengthened with sprayed glass fibre reinforced polymer. A simple model was created where the masonry panel was modeled using Abaqus beam elements (b33). The block-mortar interface was modeled with a 2-node connector that fails when a determinate section moment or shear value is achieved depending on whether the tension is normal or parallel to the bed joint and if the masonry is unreinforced or reinforced with sprayed GFRP. In the figure it is possible to observe result from an experimental and numerical analyses of a 3000x6000mm panel.
